About the Presenters
Jim Tate, eHealth Consultant Jim founded and serves as president of EMR Advocate, LLC. which provides extensive consulting services to EMR vendors, developers, and other stakeholders in the health information technology industry. He is an experienced project manager in the implementation of both EMRs and practice management systems and has led numerous implementations in the United States and China. Jim has actively supported more than 30 ambulatory and inpatient EMR vendors in their CCHIT certification projects.
Lorie Lippiatt, O.D.
Dr. Lorie Lippiatt, a graduate of The Ohio State University, is president of The Salem Eyecare Center, a comprehensive care optometric center she founded in 1989. Dr. Lippiatt has served as a consultant for Eyefinity/OfficeMate for the past six years, specifically in the area of ExamWRITER, an electronic medical record for the eyecare industry, and as an advisor for health information technology.
Kim Castleberry, O.D.
Dr. Castleberry serves as a consultant, speaker, and researcher for numerous equipment, contact lens, pharmaceutical, insurance, and software companies. Dr. Castleberry has authored more than 2 dozen articles on practice automation and the technology integrated practice and has had over 1,000 speaking engagements. His private group practice, which is located in Plano, Texas, has been paperless with EMR technology since 1991.
Ryan Wineinger, O.D.
Dr. Wineinger graduated from The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduation, he went into practice with his father at Wineinger Eyecare, located in Shawnee, Kansas . Dr. Wineinger thoroughly enjoys the technological side of optometry, and, in the past five years, he has made concentrated efforts to bring in the latest equipment to ensure that his patients are receiving the highest level of comprehensive care possible.
