Client Service Representatives

OfficeMate Software Solutions is hiring ambitious, detail-oriented client service representatives (CSRs) to provide inbound and outbound phone and e-mail software support to optical staff and doctors in a fast-paced environment (CSRs will work from 8:30am - 5:00pm in our Irvine, CA, office). Support includes answering questions, troubleshooting and resolving issues, providing training, and establishing and maintaining solid client relationships.

CSRs are responsible for establishing and maintaining solid relationships with existing clients by providing support for their OfficeMate software and ancillary systems, as needed. Additional responsibilities may include software testing, customer data repair, new employee training, and development/review of support documentation. The primary objective is to make clients happy!

Skills and Background Required:

  • Minimum two years experience providing technical support or technical education
  • Experience supporting commercial software is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professionalism
  • Ability to track multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to manage client issues from start to finish
  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision
  • Computer hardware and network knowledge is preferred

Programmer/Analyst

OfficeMate Software Solutions is an industry-leading software company in the optical industry. We are looking for a self-directed and energetic Programmer/Analyst to help with the design and implementation of future releases of our core product, OfficeMate, and to help with various integration projects. In addition, this person will be responsible for the conversion of third party databases into OfficeMate for new clients.

Requirements:
Real-world experience with ADO, ADO.NET, DAO, COM, N-tier design, Crystal Reports, MS Access and SQL Server. 3-5 years of Visual Basic programming experience using VB6 and/or VB.NET.

The Programmer/Analyst will gather requirements, create design specifications, write code, and unit test in accordance with company standards. The Programmer/Analyst will develop and write code for our main product, OfficeMate for Windows, in accordance with defined requirements and design specifications. The Programmer/Analyst will handle the ongoing development of our current product. You may be required to interact with customers for requirements and feature requests. You will need to provide information to estimate project tasks and track progress. Work with the QA team and Support team to ensure a high quality product is delivered.

Preferred: Knowledge of SQL, Visual Studio.net, ASP, XML, COM, MS Access, InstallShield, Healthcare/Eyecare Industry, NSF, ANSI, HL7, Practice Management Software

Quality Assurance Professional

OfficeMate Software Solutions is looking for a software Quality Assurance professional, preferably with experience in commercial applications. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing test plans involving manual and possibly automated testing. Must be familiar with test planning, matrix definition, and test case specification. Must be able to test products by component, as they are being developed, and work with other departments to define, script, and oversee the tests for the company's products.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Test planning, including reading specifications, creating test matrices, writing test plans, and defining cases.
  • Report and track problems by providing reproducible test cases.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with aggressive schedules.
  • Must be very detail oriented and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:
At least two to three years experience in software QA. Familiar with QA test and bug reporting concepts. Knowledge of MS Access and SQL highly desirable. Experience writing and implementing test plans. Understanding of testing methodologies for server and client software. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal skills are required.
